Poetry: Do unto others

by Michele Terboss

Created on: June 06, 2009

o one can hear her,
All ignore those angry, broken screams.
No one can see her,
Who wants to see a young girl bleed?
They don't even react when pass her dark corner of the world,
She's all alone.
She reaches out of the shadows, for a hand to hold..
But no one sees.
Her clutching fingers have no choice but to retreat,
Just like the sobs trying to break free.
She lives her life on her knees,
Lonely, in so much misery,
Begging God for mercy
Yet, she leaves no room for that salvation as her bitterness begins to seethe.
She's just another piece of broken glass in this lost and lonely world,
Another face in the crowd,
No one can hear her,
They just don't want to.
No one can hear her,
Why heal a stranger's soul?
