You talk about her all the time
It's her name you whisper in your sleep.
Yet you don't see, what she's done to me.
I had the chance to love you,
no longer hiding this longing in my heart,
But then she came.
She came, and tore it all apart.
I was supposed to be the one, the one you listened to.
The one who held you so tight, let you sing your sad story in my ear.
I never expected another to come and be the hero of your fears.
When we sit to together, you don't see those silent smiles.
She's proud of her victory, taking you from me
And all the while you can't even see
You're just another trophy.
Another mark on the bedroom wall.
I would have been you're everything,
She'll just let you fall.
I tried so hard to like her,
I wanted to see what you found so becoming,
All I saw was ugliness, and soon you'll see her running.
No one knows you like I do,
I needed to be the one who screamed, 'I love you'
But for now, I'm just your good old friend.
Will you see me as more.. When she's had her fun and fled?

You are only hurting yourself.
It was greed - But for what?
For flesh, for comfort, for acknowledgment?
We all fall into those
Insanity, pure and simple.
Boredom, yes.
Did I need so badly to feel loved?
Why did I not just read a book,
or go to sleep
Who do you fool when you cheat
Nobody but yourself
With ruses and tricks to beat
The honest for top shelf
What is the price
