Top five movies of all time

"Top Five Movies of ALL Time" it's kinda like trying to pick the greatest story ever told, but I've decided to throw my two cents into this vast ocean of brilliant writers and say with assurance, "I'll be your huckleberry." I won't bore you with stating the obvious about different people, different tastes. I'm going to point you to fifteen movies, five in three categories: Most Romantic, Most Hilarious, and Just Twisted.

First up, "Just Twisted". These are the movies that'll have you scratching your head when it's over and often times calling your friends saying, "You have to see it!". I have to give an honorable mention to my eldest daughter's favorite, "People Under The Stairs"

5. Flightplan - All I can say is mama bear wants her cub
4. Falling Down - A man on a mission
3. Mr. Brooks - 12 steps from prison
2. Taken - Father knows best

1. The Rich Man's Wife - You'll think you've got it figured out, but.....

Now I want to list the movies that caused me to truly LAUGH OUT LOUD. I must say that I admit to having an odd sense of humor. While I'm not the person who laughs at pratfalls or people walking into things, I do enjoy the humor in irony and the overstated obvious. I will spare you the mention of the one my son-in-law just yelled from the kitchen, it'll just make your world mad, mad, mad, mad, mad. SO, without further chatter, here are my top five Most Hilarious Movies of ALL time.

5. Robinhood: Men in Tights
4. Tropic Thunder
3. History of the World: Part I (1981)
2. Happy Texas
1. Be Cool

And now, drum roll please...... The five most romantic movies in my world. These movies challenge even the most romantic male's creativity. They tend to tug at the heart in ways that aren't employing the usual sappy drivel. I must give an honorable mention to my middle daughter's favorite, "Ten Things I Hate About You." And one for the youngest daughter, "The Notebook". And now, in my opinion, the five most romantic movies made to date.

5. Spanglish
4. A Knight's Tale
3. A Walk to Remember
2. A Walk in the Clouds (1995)

And because this is a silent film - Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) I've made it my number one. I applaud the writer, director, and actors in this film. The emotions are all out front, making this a must see. In truth, dialog would only weigh this movie down. I've seen it many times since I first saw it by accident. I think you'll find it worth the time it takes to sit and surrender your full attention to this love story.
