Mirrors, Mirrors
All over my house
They catch my eye when I walk past
Rarely I stop and actually look
I would rather read a book
Or fly a kite
Or play a game
than glare at myself and feel any shame
For everyone know mirrors are evil
They make thin people fat
They ruin your smile
They make your skin shades
of every color...
So there is no need for these vicious items
I am taking them down
I swear Im gonna
But, when I stand in front and start to remove it
that's when it shows all your best attributes...
That's when you realize your eyes are gorgeous
That's when you realize you've lost some weight
Those evil slates of glass are not going to get me
not today you see...
I will have my husband remove them.

Poetry: Mirrors
by Ann Major
In passing, everyone always looks
To check, to preen, by hook or by crook.
Adjusting straying strands of hair,
Putting on lipstick
Dead reflection and unreal
Mirror only sees the seen.
Its veil hides me within
Its false impression
Of imperfect.
Yet
I
The mirrors say you're lovely
And you will often look to make sure,
That the mirrors will continue
Making you feel pretty
by Markus Reale
The Mirror in Me
The mirror speaks, shouts my name, like it's talking to me,
It only shows my bad side, and now it's walking
by Josh Andrews
Half the beauty I've seen is fake
A phantom on the other side of the mirror
Taunting the romantic eyes flashed its way
Flipping
