Home Organization Tips; we can all make good use of new and innovative techniques for streamlining our days and ways at home. Some of the easiest ideas to put into practice are really quite simple ones which can make our lifestyle, and running a house-hold a lot more efficient, and therefore enjoyable too.

* In the Kitchen:

1. Your kitchen garbage bin; put several liners inside there. One for now and the next are left waiting for when you remove the last used.

2. Keep large plastic containers with flip-top lids for staple items such as: flour, rice, sugar, cereal and muesli etc.

Smaller plastic containers suit for items such as: coconut, caster sugar, brown sugar, macaroni and lentils etc.

Keep these storage containers in an accessible location of the kitchen. If there isn't a pantry, perhaps in the cupboards underneath the kitchen sink.

3. Labels: Use them on the front of every storage container to identify the contents readily.

4. Keep a notepad and pencil or a magnetic board with a marker on the refrigerator and be sure to make a note of anything that is running low. Progressively, much of your shopping list is already written out and you're sure to shop then for items that are needed.

* The Refrigerator:

1. Use oblong, shallow plastic baskets on the shelves of your refrigerator, they make finding your chosen item much quicker. They also make for a much nicer visual when you open your fridge door, seeing everything organized in this manner.

These baskets suit for storing jars of condiments and items such as minced garlic, curry pastes, dried tomatoes, peanut butter etc. Keep another (perhaps smaller), for the sweet items such as jams. marmalades and such.

Another basket can be used for keeping all dried fruits, raisins, currants, cranberries, prunes or dates etc. for baking or otherwise,

2. When cutting into a block of cheese, wrap in Cling film and slip the cheese block into a Ziploc baggie.

3. Only had to use a half onion in your recipe? Save the rest, just cut it to fit inside of a glass jar, screw down the lid and place it in full view near the front of the 'fridge to use in next recipe needing onion.

* The Bedroom:

1. Pick up any clutter; it's not a good look when your bedroom needs to be a calming environment. It's meant to be your refuge at the end of any day. Take a garbage bag and pick up disused anything that's simply "lying about". Take it anywhere else to sort it out, or dump it; this is too easy but makes a real difference!
