I looked for love around
And when I found it not
I decided to give the quest up
And I settled in for an empty void.
Then you came along
And with your life you woke me up
And blew hope and life into my own heart
Thank God for you.
Now you are gone!
Are you dead? Where did you go?
I am back at being alone
My life is terribly heavy with your void
I can stand you not caring for me
I understand you changing your mind
But not knowing anything about you at all
Makes this unbearable to stand
Please let me know you are OK
Tell me that you hate my guts
Yell at me that you do not want to see me
Or know that I am alive
I cannot stand the thought of you being dead
I will rather have you happy with someone else
Than being forced to look at a world
Without you

Poetry: Lost love
by Olu Burrell
I think about you when I'm looking ahead
And also in moments of reminiscence
But do me a favor and don't ask me
To tell you
The man in the jacket, walking through snow,
His faithful friend, always in tow,
Forever smiling, happy look on his face,
Whatever
So there we were
Looking up at the sky,
Together.
Truly thought
That you and I
Could storm
Any kind of weather.
I still
Do not wait for me with bated breath,
because my heart dances to and fro.
Its chambers are hollowed and empty
it longs for
As a bird perched on the edge of its nest
eyes searching the unknown world outside
strengthening its wings, yearning to fly
