Bodybuilding.com...sounds a little generic, right? It is. I'll give you that. Fortunately, the site as a whole is far from "generic". The surplus of quality information available within the online pages of this exercise and nutrition giant surpasses all of its competition.
The entrance page layout is not only simple, but extremely convenient. You have the grand choice of entering 1) Store, 2) SuperSite, 3) BodySpace, and 4) Forums. As if the design didn't win us over alone...I could ramble on and on all day long about Bodybuilding.com's easy of use compared to other exercise and nutrition sites out in the wonderful worldwide web.
With the basics out of the way, let's look into each of the four components.
1) Store. The sheer number and variety of quality supplements and products blows me away. Whether you're looking for Gaspari or Optimum Nutrition, a weight gainer, or a creatine supplement - you're in the right place. It is easy to navigate and search for specific products. Of course, it's even easier to purchase them!
2) SuperSite. This section of Bodybuilding.com showcases an abundance of high class material. I say high class because the majority of it is, but I will warn you that this content is contributed by both experts and everyday gym rats alike. For every three or four articles written individuals who truly know what they're talking about, you might find one relying purely on broscience. With a little digging, though, it is possible to advance your fitness knowledge to stunning levels.
3) BodySpace. Featured here are the user profiles of each and every member registered on the site. You will find people from all over the world and from all walks of life. You have the freedom to choose exactly what information is displayed and the ability to hide your private parts. No pun intended.
4) Forums. The communication outlet. Rather than simply reading article after article found in the archives of the SuperSite, you are able to share your opinions with the world. Whether right or wrong, sweet or rude, you have the potential to make some great friends and learn from them.
If it isn't crystal clear at this point that I absolutely love this site, seek help immediately. I've been posting and writing here for years and just don't feel at home anywhere else in the fitness world. Bodybuilding.com gets my resounding vote for best fitness and exercise site on the net!
