LIPITOR
Sometimes, although one practices a healthy lifestyle, they are still at risk for High Cholesterol because of family history or age, etc. In cases as these the Doctor will recommend prescription drugs. The most popular one on the market right now is Lipitor which is passed by the FDA. Clinical studies have shown that it lowers LDL by approximately 39 to 60%. It has also found to lower chest pain, blood pressure and heart disease. In addition, Lipitor is also used by people with Type 2 Diabetes.
Like with any other drug, not every drug is exempted from side effects. Lipitor is not for everyone. People with liver problems, nursing and pregnant women should not utilize this drug. Some of the side effects are headache, gas, constipation, and, upset stomach. Other major serious effects are liver damage and joint pains.
With the input of a healthy lifestyle and a partnership with one's Health Care Provider, there should be a reduction in high cholesterol, and thus, keep same in check.
