we made a lover's pact.
Not wanting to keep secrets,
I held nothing back.

You said we were forever,
I believed your lies
There's no such thing as always,
I've come to realize.

Forever became an interlude,
then we parted ways.
Whenever I ran into you,
you would avert your gaze.

Sweet revenge is mine now,
no more angst and strife.
I'm over you, and I've moved on
to a supremely better life.
