In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths, Proverbs 3:6. When we acknowledge God, we are recognizing Him and His authority and presence in our lives. He wants His children to acknowledge Him in every area of our lives. He loves for us to seek Him and His wisdom. It's easier to acknowledge someone that we know and trust. Proverbs 3:5 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our heart; and lean not to our own understanding.
Before we can begin to acknowledge God, we must learn to trust Him. And before we can trust Him , we must know Him. Would you trust someone you didn't know? And if we don't know someone, we are not going to seek their wisdom about anything. We get to know God through the reading and studying of His word. The more we read and study, our eyes are open to who He is. We learn how much He loves us and how much He wants to be a part of our lives. He didn't just create us and leave us to figure things out on our own.
Now that we know Him, we look forward to spending time with Him. In our time with Him, we begin to share our heart with Him. He already knows what we are thinking but He wants us to tell Him. Then we start acknowledging Him, recognizing Him as the One who can help us and put us on the right paths. Most of us plan our day and move forward without even thinking about God. We want to be so independent. We run into situations we can't handle, and then we go to God. Why? Because we know He can help us, we just didn't take the time to acknowledge Him in our plans.
God knows the plans He has for us. We all were created with purpose. We will never know what that purpose is, if we don't seek the One who put it in us. God loves us with an everlasting love. He wants to see us living our lives fulfilling our God given purposes. He created us with the choice to choose Him and go His way or choose someone else and go their way. He gave us a will and with that will we can acknowledge Him or not.
So as we get to know our Father, we will learn to trust him. Trusting Him will lead us to acknowledging Him in all our ways. As children of God, our heavenly Father, if we want good success, we must acknowledge Him. If we want the blessings that come from Him, we must acknowledge Him. If we want to live our lives with purpose, we must acknowledge Him. In all our ways He wants us to acknowledge Him, so that He can direct our paths. Paths that lead to good success, blessings and purpose.
