Vivid images reflected through a mirror,
constant tear drops staining the unfamiliar.
Remembering the angel I tried to be,
laughter and joy that you stole from me.
Replacing memories with regrets and sins
Searching for some peace that lays within.
All hope and faith disappearing out of sight,
Leaving me wondering why I lost the fight.
Lost in a portrait lays a young innocent girl,
With child, afraid, wanting to hide from the world.
Lust was the poison in your venomous kiss.
Photos and video burning through my mind i reminisce.
That dread-full day I knew love did not exist.
My world shattered into the darkest abyss.
My eyes were deceived by her wicked grin.
A knife in my back of where I have been.
Have I lost the love and hope forced upon my aching soul?
With the trust you broken and my life she stole.
I do love you and my heart you would try to console,
But you loved another and played a double role.
Split between love and lust I begin to break.
Do you realize that loving her was your biggest mistake?
Was everything you offered me was it fake?
I want god to shelter my soul from this rain.
Clear away the storm ridding my pain.
I want you to feel and heal the beating of my broken heart.
Paint a smile on my face like a piece of your art.
