Cleaning house just isn't much fun
Today my house is a mess.
I should clean it up I guess.
But I've got so much real work to do,
And plenty of other stuff too.
It will be ok for right now.
I'll get to it tomorrow somehow.
Well now tomorrow is here,
And the mess is still pretty clear.
The kitchen is where I'll begin.
But first I better check in.
There's more junk than I care to mention,
And 30 emails that need my attention.
My excuses accumulate fast.
So I finally give in at last.
A clean house is what I will gain.
But getting started sure is a pain.
All done and now I feel great!
No more excuses, next time I won't wait.
That's when I notice the dust on the shelf.
And immediately think to myself,
I can't really dust it right now.
I don't expect guests anyhow!
There's other stuff I need to get done.
Cause cleaning house just isn't nuch fun!
