Poetry: Truth

by Allyn Smith

Created on: June 02, 2009   Last Updated: June 12, 2009

True is a time; where elation lies
and isn't counted and isn't caged
and isn't wrinkled
By laughter it's gauged

True is a place; where glory is found
and isn't bruised and isn't rationed
and isn't confused
by false foundation

True is a love; that is ever more
and isn't taught and isn't garaged
and isn't withered
by constant barrage

True is a God; whose love is the rule
and isn't ending and isn't sought
and isn't ashamed
by what He had brought

True is a hope; that is not unsure
and isn't dark and isn't betrayed
and isn't demeaned
by worthless facade

True is our witness; what comes will be true
Above and beyond the wishing we do
