True is a time; where elation lies
and isn't counted and isn't caged
and isn't wrinkled
By laughter it's gauged
True is a place; where glory is found
and isn't bruised and isn't rationed
and isn't confused
by false foundation
True is a love; that is ever more
and isn't taught and isn't garaged
and isn't withered
by constant barrage
True is a God; whose love is the rule
and isn't ending and isn't sought
and isn't ashamed
by what He had brought
True is a hope; that is not unsure
and isn't dark and isn't betrayed
and isn't demeaned
by worthless facade
True is our witness; what comes will be true

The earth has been consumed by a famine.
Centuries ago it dried up,
for all its water evaporated from it.
The earth became
The bloods drips from my heart into my aching soul,
The ache of keeping inside me the things you cannot know.
Knowing that
Truth
Truth is brother to time
It can whisper with a shout
It can calm fears, give strength to the weary
And run circles around
They told us all when we were young,
We were too young to ask,
Our songs weren't ready to be sung,
Like childhood was a task
Leave the saying of a false truth
To the vain, lame, and rowdy uncouth
For truth is more than just a word
