Just you
I've worn my eraser down to a nub-
trying to write today.
A brilliant spark, I'd start to write
only to fall victim to you.
These thoughts strike me,
invading my mind
stealing my train of thought.
Your voice entices me,
soft in the air,
a maddening siren's song.
But still I try,
my mind's now reeling
tugging at the poem on the line.
Furiously scribbling, I'm quiet as a mouse
'less you should hear me and
snip away my line.
Needless to say I ran round a mouse wheel,
stepped out and saw you again.
I admit it. You won!
I won't try to write.
I'll sit here and dream of you instead.

I like the way the corners of lips curl in such
mischievious ways. Oh, the twinkle
