"You, Me and Dupree" is a screwball type comedy starring Owen Wilson(Dupree), who steals the show as an annoying friend that takes over the home of newlyweds(played by Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson).
Right after they are married, we see them building their nest and suddenly, an annoying twirpy bird named Dupree comes along to mess it up. Matt's character loses it as he watches Dupreee take over his home(after it's been literally turned upside down) and almost take his wife as well.
While this isn't a great film, I thought it was pretty funny yet over the top. Matt Dillon was miscast in this, but it was nice to see him working. I am a big fan of his. Kate Hudson and Matt had no chemistry as a couple. I felt she was better with Owen, and that seems to have played out in real life as well.
"You, Me, and Dupree" is definitely worth checking out of the video store if you are fans of these actors and like screwball comedies.
