Understanding Natural Weight Loss
The dreaded pounds that seem to never go away, no matter how hard we try, are a constant thorn in our side. There are many people out there that need to lose that last 10 pounds. Unfortunately, those last 10 pounds are the most stubborn to dispose of.
Men and woman alike are in a constant battle over weight issues. There are people who actually eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly and never see the difference after they have hit the plateau. In the healthiest of situations, that would seem like an ideal set up right? Yes, that is correct; however, there is another factor that sneaks in to sabotage those good habits from flourishing and producing the desired results. This factor is called balance.
In order to truly achieve a balance in the body, the hormones, diet and exercise factors all need to be in line. You may not realize it, but aspects such as stress levels, your immune system, digestive tracts and more are all correlated in allowing you to achieve weight loss. This is due to the fact they are connected to the metabolism. Your metabolism is what determines whether or not you will lose weight, stay the same, keep the weight off or gain it back.
How Does Our Metabolism Work?
The metabolism is a team divided into three separate groups. They all have a specialized function but cannot fully work independent of each other. In order to win, they need to work together.
The first team is the cellular and muscular aspects. When food is consumed, this team turns what we eat into heat or work. After that, it is passed to team two which disposes of all the toxins and other nutrients that our body did not need; this takes the form of waste.
After the first two teams break it down and sort out what we need, the third team makes sure we have reserves. This means the body stores glucose for future usage. It is stored in the form of Glycogen and excess energy.
The Body Is in Defense Mode
Our bodies are designed to maintain a certain weight and protect itself from outside sources and environmental change. In general, this is why stress and other outside factors oftentimes affect a person's weight and overall health. In this defense for natural body stability, the body will usually only deviate from this goal with about ten to fifteen pounds.
The current lifestyle that we are accustomed to is actually a mutation into bad habits that our bodies have adapted to and perceive as normal. In other words, most of us are all out of sorts because what is normal to us is actually extremely abnormal.
With this, there is a direct correlation between hormones and hunger. The major key player in this is insulin. Ultimately, insulin is the hormone that makes a decision on whether to use blood sugar immediately for a source of energy or store it as fat. If your body has insulin resistance problems, you will gain more weight.
What it Comes Down to
If you want to achieve a healthy and natural weight loss, it is imperative to start from the inside out. Understanding your body and what works for it is the key to success. Although our bodies have the same major functions, they are all at different levels. Get your hormones in check, eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly to attain a healthy and comfortable natural weight loss.
