What is Nature?
When we think of Nature we generally think of ecology, wilderness, and evolution. But Nature is a much greater system than what is perceived by our five senses. Nature is the driving force behind everything that happens in the Universe on both the visible and concealed levels of reality.
Nature operates according to the law of Love.
Each part of the system of Nature is in perfect harmony with the rest of the system. When a lion eats a zebra we don't see an evil action because the lion is only taking exactly what it needs for its survival. The suffering on the side the zebra is limited and is nothing like the suffering caused by human actions toward other humans.
What is Man?
Man is the pinnacle of created Nature and is at the highest level of development. He is part of the system of Nature but stands in a unique position aside from every other aspect of Nature. He is separated from Nature by his greater desire to receive pleasure for his own benefit.
Man's desire for pleasure is called the Human Ego. The Human Ego is the one and only thing in all of Nature that is evil and against the perfectly balanced system. The Ego wants to take from others and the world more than it needs to sustain itself. Because Man is at the highest level of development he effects every level of Nature below him.
What is the nature of Man in Nature's landscape?
Man, as the highest level of development, has a clear responsibility to the rest of Nature. Through our ego we wield a great power for both destruction and good. Throughout the history of Humanity, we have used our egoism to progress us and propel us forward along our path of development. We have conquered and corrupted Nature to the point where our ecology and our own social systems are on their last legs.
In our times we have revealed both our total interconnectedness to each other and Nature. We are as connected to someone on the other side of the planet as we are to our next door neighbors. We see how natural disasters and diseases effect us on a global level. We have begun to reveal the system through our total incongruence with Nature.
What do we do now?
Now is time for Humanity to join the rest of Nature in its perfect balance through the laws of Love and Bestowal. We can only do this by rising above our egoism and beginning to accept our responsibility to each other and the rest of the system.
