pulled through my body. Not just as it was leaving through the holes in my neck, but I could literally feel it being sucked from every part of me. I wasn't afraid. Despite everything, I knew I wasn't going to die.
I felt his wrist in my mouth. Through the haze of my would be death I heard him command, Drink, now! I tried, but I didn't seem to have the strength. Now! His voice boomed in my ear.
I felt the warmth of his blood on my lips, and as the salty sweetness of it flowed over my lips and tongue, I gained strength and wanted more. My tongue flicked over the wound in his wrist and I drank, deeply, even as he continued to pull my blood from my body.
My head began to clear, and I felt my senses were coming to life for the very first time. Colors, sounds, feelings and sensations exploded in and around me. Never in my wildest dreams had I suspected that it would be like that.
Suddenly, he fell away from me. I knew something was wrong, but I didn't know what. My body was changing, and it was several minutes before I could move. When I did, I saw that Michael was just lying there, motionless. An expression of sorrow etched on his face. I'm sorry, he moaned, I can't help you anymore.
Blood was pouring from multiple places on his body. I could smell human men nearby, and I remembered, much too late, what he'd said about being vulnerable. I'm sorry, I whispered, tell me what to do. How do I fix you?
He rolled his eyes toward me just before the light in them went out. His cold body was still, and then he simply disintegrated. Gone, as if he had never existed.
A guttural, primeval scream erupted from somewhere inside me. I remembered the human men, and knew that they were still nearby. One of them was Randy. I killed them all without even giving it a second thought. They had taken Michael from me, leaving me alone with nothing but my pain and rage, and with no answers to all the questions I had about what I had become.
I told you all this as fair warning. You, human men, are selfish creatures, taking what is not yours to take, and I'm coming for you, and you will pay.
I've learned a lot in the last 20 years. I'm not a helpless victim anymore. And you, yes, youyour days are numbered. You will be mine.
