Tips for Increasing Your Writing Income
Freelance writing, SEO articles, blogging, online article writing...the possibilities abound for writers who want to make a great income. Just as diverse are the venues available for freelance writers: Helium, Associated Content, Constant Content, PayU2Blog, and Triond are just a few of the websites that will pay you for your work. To be successful on any of these sites, though, you will need to put in time and effort to see results. Whether you are blogging or article writing, page views are an important part of increasing your income; more page views can be yours by knowing how to write content that gets clicks.
Here are 5 ways that you can generate more clicks and, consequently, more income for you!
1. Write every day
Writing one article every few weeks is typically not going to pull in a lot of money from page views. To be successful at online writing you will need to write every day, even if it is only one article. Writing every day will keep your head in "writer mode," and help you consistently come up with new ideas. Daily writing will also allow you to post a mountain of articles every week - more articles means more clicks. You also have a better chance of someone clicking through to read more than one of your articles or blog entries. So how do you write every day when you can barely come up with an idea for one article per week? I keep a journal with me at all times. That way, if an ideas strikes, and I am not in front of my computer, I can write it down so I don't forget it later. Works great and has gotten me through some writer's block in the past.
2. Promote your writing
Promoting your writing can mean a big increase in your income - it takes time and effort, but the results will be worth it. If you have a blog, or a personal website, make sure to link to your articles. If you find another blog that is in your particular writing niche, link to your articles there as well (just be sure to pay attention to the posting rules, you don't want to anger any mods). If you find a forum that allows link posting, add your article link to a relevant discussion of a topic. You may be able to help someone find the answer they need while also generating some revenue for yourself. Include a few choice article links, your blog URL, or your writing profile page links in your signature so that links show up every time you post to a blog, contribute to a forum, or send an email.
Social networks are another source for generating
