Poetry: Distance

by Rogers Wardy

Created on: June 01, 2009

The Distance:

Far off alone in the distance

Is a figure of vast distortion

Though the image is faint and weary

I see what seems an animal

As the distance between us grows short

I see that it is a man

Even ever so closer

I see that it is my brother

And when I stop to have a word

I find the figure is me
