Beware the desperate single! You know the kind: a strange, white gleam in their eyes and a bright look to their faces. When they come into a room, a hush settles across the occupants like a scratchy quilt. Nobody can meet their eye. Everyone knows... and everyone is terrified.
Don't become the desperate single! Take comfort that you continue to eliminate the wrong candidates for your life-mate! Remember that marriage is important, but marriage to the right person with the right goals in sight is lovely, wonderful, joy-inducing and fulfilling. So hasty marriage to the wrong person is misery-inducing and not much fun at all.
If you believe in abstinence before marriage, stay strong! Consider the wonderful gift you will bring to your union! Find someone who brings that same gift. That's right: the gift of no STDs (and no danger of them rearing their ugly heads later) and the gift of being able to discover one of God's greatest gifts together!
So be strong.. all of you. And envy us married-types.
