Scoliosis and its consequences

Sometimes they have helped keep my back that much straighter, and in some cases have even corrected my spine when it has started to slip. I'm not in any way cured of my scoliosis, but I'm in much less pain 8 years later, and I try to drink as much water as I can (per my chiropractor's orders!).

I realize that some people are not so lucky with their condition. I have known people who've had to have surgery, several braces, and continuous physical therapy. While surgery is the ultimate correct-all, it sometimes doesn't keep the spine from curving again. With physical therapy, it doesn't always help either. I've found that spinal manipulation through chiropractic care has proven to be the most effective, quick, and cheapest way to treat scoliosis. In just ten minutes a session, I can have my body in total alignment! But, of course, it's not for everyone. That's why it's very important to understand where your back is weakest and how to work with it to keep yourself in shape. Talk with your doctor to decide which method is most appropriate for you.

If you are into self-healing, you owe it to yourself to read http://www.amazon.com/exec/obi dos/ASIN/0962713821/ref=nosim/ inheritedconn-20 on how to do exercises from home that can strengthen and heal your back. I can say with utmost certainty that it can do wonders! Daily exercise is best, with special morning stretches to envigorate and evening stretches to help you unwind. Another valuable resource is http://www.scoliosis.org/ where you can learn more information about handling your scoliosis and talk with others who can relate.
