What to do if you are caught in the middle of a terrorist attack really depends upon the type of terrorist attack, the place where it happens and the people that you are with. If you are with your faily or a deoup of children, then your first priority would be to them, and making sure that they are safely out of harm's way. If you are alone or at work. and if you are in a highrise tower, try finding a safe way to the ground, and if you are in an airplane your responses may cause undue harm to others.
September 11th, 2001 (9/11), will stay in the hearts and minds of all who watched the events of that day unfold. However, that was not, by any measure, the first terrorist attack on United States' soil, but it was the worst one as per the number of people killed, injured and affected, the families torn apart and the financial burdens incurred. The horrific pictures of people leaping to their certain deaths remains with everyone who watched their televisions or were in New York City on that day. There were people who decided that leaping was better than burning, and decided to take the shorter, and possibly less horrific death, once they had realized that escape was beyond hope. What would a person do now, if the same scenario were to replay itself in another American city, say the Sears Tower in Chicago? Would an everyone-for-themselves approach be had, or would chivalry still be alive and well in these changing times?
The economic fallout from the 9/11 terrorist attacks was the worst that the American people had yet to face, as an opening salvo in the ongoing war on terror. If the goal of the jihadists was to inflict irreparable damage to America's financial system, they may have already won the war.
Americans may have become complacent yet again, believing the old "not in my backyard" saying, and entrusting their safety to government employees, whether with Homeland Security, CIA, DHS, FBI, or any of the other initialized government bodies that make
