Women's rights in the 1900s in America

Women have come along way in this world though sometimes it seems as if we are taking a step back. I think it is great that women are now in control over their livesmore than ever and in careers that have been male dominate for centuries we are in a age where there was a chance of having a woman president I guess the world is not totally ready for that yet. Why not?

Women are the most multitask, organized, peace makers, nurturing beings on the planet when you were a child you always ran to mom for everything, mom was the one that kept the house in order mom was the one with all the answers. Women can do anything just as good as a man when a man do need advice he always turns to his mother, wife, or etc. I am proud to live in the U.S.A to know that as a woman I have rights to protect me and to give me freedom is a grateful feeling.

What saddens me to the heart is looking at other countries, looking at oppressedwomen suffering and being abused far more worse than women in the united states they have no rights nor say-so in the life they have once all the women over the world achieve the same rights as the united states then will we know a change has come.

Womens rights have evolved over time but I will say this it is a real imbalance when it comes to the law and our roles in the world that is what I meant earlier when I said it seems we are taking a step back. If a woman murders her husband that is abusive to her the law is not sympathetic towards her, she is likely to get life in prison just because she protected herself I think I can speak for majority of women that have been harassed by a ex-boyfriend, ex-husband, that was jealous and controlling but at worse very abusive from a woman's point of view the law does not protect us from that there is no way he would leave you alone.

But when a woman takes action to save herself she is looked down upon. In light of everything the constitution does for us we have to keep in mind it was created by men through their eyes men still try to keep the upper-hand. Why is it that of all things women always say they are in control of their sexuality; why can't we be in control of more important parts of our lives you are still giving in to the advances of men. We still live in a day and age were women think they are here to get married and have children, stay home and cook and clean I think those women are afraid to be independent or had it instilled into them as a young girl to serve your man he is the bread winner and you stay home.Women have come a long way an have a even longer way to go to be seen as equal we will get there.
