"You Just Don't Get It"
I don't need you to fix me
Don't need you to play like the Orkin Man -
Tryin' to exterminate all you don't like about me
Funny how you seem to think there's something wrong with me
Yet the God you call Awesome took His time to create me
Just because you can't appreciate my song...
Doesnt mean that I'm singing it wrong
You've tried everything you could to stifle me
To stunt the growth of the woman inside of me
And I feel sorry for you...
You are the one missing out
You probably don't even have a clue what I'm talkin' about
You're oblivious
Totally blind to the beauty within me
But that's ok...'cause I like what I see
And that's been a long time comin'
I don't need you to fix me
Your time could be so much better served
How about walking beside me on this journey
How 'bout holding my hand and supporting me
How 'bout witnessing the miracle that's taking place
The flower that is blooming thanks to God's Amazing Grace
But that's just a suggestion
Whether or not you choose to ride with me
I'm moving forward
I'm using the gift that's been given me
It's been collecting dust for far too long
And maybe that's not even true
Maybe it was just waiting oh so patiently
For me to find my voice and speak louder than you
To strenghten my vocal cords so I could scream...
I DON'T NEED YOU TO FIX ME!

The moment I first saw her

A little girl lost it seemed
a bond had formed

This Is Me: Like It or Not
I know who I am,
I am simply being me,
I carry no false pretenses.
I know what I do,
I am aware of
I am me.
That's not much.
I am me.
That's enough.
I may not be perfect.
I may not be thin.
Sometimes I feel like life,
Is a game
Whatever my ill
I accept me
Whatever my thrill
I accept me
Wherever I have to go
I accept me
*
Whatever my mental state
I am not
When you don't know who you are,
When things seems bleak and hopeless,
There is no one who can help you on earth,
But there
