should do but some don't to their peril. Just because the article is posted to Helium doesn't mean you won't at one time or another want to revise it.

If saved on your computer you can bring it up at any time, re-do it at your leisure then copy and paste it back to revise. Leapfrog, as it is called at Helium, is for an article that isn't doing well in the ratings. You can correct any minor errors like grammar or spelling, changing parts of it by adding or subtracting information or doing it completely over. Use Leapfrog. It has saved many low ranked articles from oblivion.

Write to Earn.

Helium not only will give you a chance to improve your writing skills, show your creativity and share your knowledge but it will pay you for the privilege. The more good quality articles you write and post on Helium, ones that are close to the top of the heap will, in time, earn you a few pennies. This might not seem like much but assuming you are like almost every other writer and love writing enough to do it for free isn't getting anything, even just pennies, better than nothing? You may not get rich and you most definitely should keep your day job but there are ways to earn a good bit. Writing to contests and contributing to Marketplace are just two of the more popular ways because that gets you almost instant reward if your articles are chosen.

Marketplace is where publishers post titles to which you can write if you are knowledgeable about the topic and adhere strictly to their guidelines. Some topics can earn the chosen article upwards of two hundred dollars. That ain't small change especially for someone who never wrote anything before except for a few poems to your grandmother.
