How to get started as a new writer to Helium

You must remember you are now writing to a computer crowd who expects answers yesterday and with brevity, so, get to the point without much fanfare and fuss. Sentences should be short and easily understood. Paragraphs should be no more than 3-5 sentences long. There is also formatting to consider. Read and learn, not only about varying topics but how others write. Once you start writing you will learn as you go. The better you get at writing the higher your articles soar and others will read your articles with pleasure. In time if you keep learning and improving you may develop a following and people will go out of their way searching for your other articles. And if you find an author you particularly admire tell them. They might be willing to give you pointers and that all important thing, encouragement.

Posting and Saving.

When posting that article at Helium it is wise to write it in a word process program you are comfortable with then save it on your computer. You can then edit the final product, copy and paste it into place, add any links and then hit post with confidence. This will eliminate the chance of you losing your work to the nether world that is the fathomless internet. This is the one thing all Helium writers
