This is the story
of Bobby McCall,
better know as,
Bobby boy
Now Bobby boy was a tiny one,
two months early
and struggling for life,
full of fight and fire.
Nothin' could stop
little Bobby boy.
He was gonna make it,
just wait and see
His Momma paced and fretted
but there was nothin' she could do.
The terrible two's lasted,
until he was twenty-two.
You didn't mess
with Bobby boy
a careless word or awkward glance
he'd ball up a tiny fist, ready to go
His Momma sat him down
"My little Bobby boy" she said
"You can't keep fightin'
and carryin' on like this"
Momma thought she'd done well
that Bobby boy saw the light
He stopped his fightin
and had no troubles with the law
Nothin' could stop
little Bobby boy
He was gonna make it
just wait and see
It's true all right,
Bobby boy did stop his fightin',
but Momma's words
didn't change his mind
He saw the bawdy figure
of Miss Becky Malone
She licked her lips, wiggled her hips
and Bobby boy lost his mind
She whispered
"Bobby boy
You better stop your brawlin'
if you ever wanna be a man with me"
Bobby boy smiled and shook his head
"You've got me wrong" he said
"I'm misunderstood
God willing, I'm a lover, not a fighter"
Bobby boy never made a fist
or raised his hands again.
He grew fond of wrestlin' though
the smile of Miss Becky Malone will tell you so

Thank you for the moment
That we shared just a day ago
Of everything I've ever wished for
You're the best wish that came true
If
Take one heart trusting and true,
Take two eyes shining like new,
Add the love that you give,
And you know I've got you.

Waiting on the road, rain pouring down
feel the raincloud, no longer me now
thousands of pieces fall miles from the sky
but
THE LOVE THAT'S IN OUR EYES
Two rocking chairs sit on my Daddy's old front porch,
A fiddle hangs over the mantle.
