To me, working with kids of all ages, I always made sure I had fun. I wanted to make my life, therefore my work environment, an experience I looked forward to everyday. I formed relationships with the kids and their parents. I got to know them by being respectful and also by asking a million questions. I have a lot of curiosity. In a way, I am still like a child, seeking to learn and question every thing around me for an answer to why something is the way that it is. I'm playful and like to make everything interesting, even if the situation isn't the ideal. I always tried to learn from every experience teaching children offered me, because to me, every person has a lesson to teach. To put it simply, the people teaching children need to know how to keep learning themselves. One doesn't know everything and it is so important to teach such things to children, so that they can keep passing it down from one generation to the next. It is all about evolving and adapting to survive in this world right? The more we know, the better? I believe in teaching children how to learn and think as opposed to what to think or what I think is important for them to learn. Every individual has personal strengths, talents, abilities, learning styles, and interests. Individuals should have the right to a quality education which may highlight such pursuits rather than limit a person.
