If you are looking for a place with tons of activities to keep you occupied during your holiday, then Bali is the place for you. And furthermore, it's a great place for those with a tight budget. Things come really cheap in Bali compared to most other places of attraction.
Bali is located somewhere in Indonesia. Unless you plan to find you own way there I won't bore you with its exact geographical location. Just approach any local travelling agent and I'm sure they have plenty to share with you about Bali.
A visit to the beaches that is sprawled around the coast of Bali is a must. Every beach has its own uniquesness and sea activities. It will be worth your time to visit the different beaches during your stay in Bali. From watching the sunset and sunrise, having a blast doing the sea sport, to even having a your meals by the seabed literally. All you need is patience as travelling from one beach to another could take awhile, but it's totally worth it.
If you are not the beach type, there are still a lot of inland activities to enjoy as well. Bali is well known for its art. Not those paintings, but more to stone/rock carving. You will be amazed at the intricate and detail of these carvings. Most of these dates back from way back in history and decipher the story of the Hindu gods. You will also find a lot of monuments scattered around Bali. Though most are for religious purposes, some are of historic values.
Bali is also known as a shopping paradise. Things are cheap and of many variants. From those local souvenirs to the well-known brand like Oakley . There are literally hundred of shops lining the streets to quench your shopping spree. You will be definitely be spoilt for choice which shop you want to go to as going to every single shop will take you the whole month.
Off course, different parts of Bali offer different environments. If the bustling lifestyle where nightlife and surfing is the thing you are looking for, places like Kuta will definitely be your automatic choice. For those who are for a relaxing time, then places like Sanur or Nusa Dua would be great - a slower pace and away from the bustling city line. There are even places for those who want to wake up every morning with the scenery of mountains or rivers. Just take your pick. Again, it will be worthwhile to check either on-line or with your travel agent regarding your accommodation.
Other activities includes water rafting, the traditional kecak dance, visit the factories that make batik and silverware, and many more. Maybe its nothing compared to other island holiday destinations like Mauritius or Hawaii, but if you are looking for something cheap with substance, then Bali is the place for you.
