The Merriam - Webster's on-line dictionary, defines sexy as - 1.) Sexually suggestive or stimulating: Erotic. 2.) Generally attractive or interesting: Appealing.

Although the general definition of the word sexy is commonly agreed upon by many, what people consider as sexy varies widely from one individual to another.

As a woman who's experienced profound life-changes, in addition to being a mother and wife, my ideal of what qualifies as being sexy may differ from the mass majority. Whether than focusing on the physical, life has taught me that sexiness comes from within.

Therefore, here are seven things that qualifies or epitomizes sexiness for me:

* A Measure Of Self-Worth.

Without being overtly aware of one's own accomplishments and achievements, possessing a balanced view of who you are, your life's triumphs, your skills, talents and abilities, conveys sexiness at it's best.

* Self-confidence.

No matter what shape, size, or age, a woman who is comfortable in his/her own skin, is confident in his/her achievements, and is not afraid to stand up for his/her morals and convictions, is truly qualified to be called sexy.

* Contentment.

A person who is truly content with what they already have, posses a certain glow about themselves. It is this glow, this energy, that draws others to them. It's an attraction that cannot be denied.

* Strength Of Character.

A wishy-washy individual is not attractive at all. Someone who knows what they want, strives to achieve the goals in their life, and overcomes challenges with grace, is truly a sexy individual.

* Caring.

Someone who truly cares for others (as well as themselves) is a sexy individual as well. This caring goes beyond superficiality. It's a concern that runs deep in their veins and shows through their daily actions.

* Self-Sacrificing.

In addition to displaying caring characteristics, a self-sacrificing person will put other's feelings ahead of his/her own. Keeping in mind that there's a time to say 'no'; a person exhibiting such a personality unique to this society, is one sexy man/woman.

* Possessing An Individualistic Style.

Another qualification for being sexy, entails a man/woman possessing a sense of style unique to themselves. Not one to follow every trend; this individual - rather they be eclectic, traditional, classic, modern, or a mixture of the four - always presents themselves as well put-together individuals. People in general anticipate and look forward to their arrival at any social gathering.

Similar to beauty, sexiness is in the eye of the beholder. Therefore, in the words of the great actress, Sophia Loren - "The quality of sexiness comes from within. It is something that is in you or it isn't and it really doesn't have much to do with breasts or thighs or the pout of your lips."
