Poetry: Love's strength

by Rolan Whitt

Created on: May 28, 2009

Pathetic repetitive fairy tale blunders

no wonder why we all fall under

the "mythical" magic of love's spell

that drags us all into our own hell!

Love's strength is a suffocating mother

Or the needy ness of a lover

The lost and broke brother

All of them looking for some cover.

Love's strength is the lie

That allows you to look someone in the eye

Say to them "I do" which later translates

To I HATE YOU

Love's strength is the weakest link

In the chain that makes us sink

The keystone that once it falls

the archway collapses around us all.
