Poetry: Broken & lost

VESSEL

I was a broken vessel
beaten and worn
how could God use me
so tattered and torn.

He saw my desire
and filled me within
He said "I can use you
in spite of your sin."

The Holy Spirit fills us
with His water and Love
The water used here
is the Word of God.

Filled to overflowing
enough to ladle out
to share the old old story
of God's mercy from above.
