SUNSHINE

I'm reaching for some thing I'll never reach, eternally longing just to be seen, by your rays of light, that should brighten my day, but instead forever in darkness I am forced to lay,

I am a vampire and you are the sun, and I hate what immortality has done to me, I rarely see you, and even when I do, it's never safe, because there's no telling what I might do, I don't think about turning to ashes, no, never think that rash, just about basking in your light, and never wanting to be out of your sight, I want your warmth to wrap around me, warm me up, and I don't give a damn if I might die, as long as I get to be by your side one last time,

It's very juvenile to want some thing you can't have, so childish it makes me want to laugh, at myself for even thinking of it, is it so easy to not see me anymore?, so easy for me not to absorb your warmth?,

It's so cold, subzero, without you, I need your heat, to swirl around me, or I might go insane, when you left, you might as well slain me,

I look up into a sunless sky, I want to break down and cry, until you return, I wouldn't care if you burned me, once more I just need that loving feeling,

I am a vampire and you are the sun, and I hate what immortality has done to me (done to me), I rarely see youI need you

I'm aching, for you to break, my heart again, just seeing you, will do, just knowing I can't have you,
