The civil rights war can never be won

Civil rights war is one that has not been won, it is being tolerated to say the least. The problem of the races has just been better hidden by the masses. Just because there is a Black ( bi-racial) President does not mean that things have changed, in America the matter of race is still a problem and it will continue to be a problem when people continue to make it as such. In the United States to this day there are a number of hate related organizations. Go onto the Internet and check out the large variety of hate groups that appear on line and the request for recruitment.

Pennsylvania has one of the largest population of racist in the country. No one would know that on the surface of the small towns and rural areas at first glance but one only has to go there and experience what racial hatred is.waiting there. Many gains have been made in the strides of racial equality but the losses sometimes tend to out number the gains. I have gone to a town in Pennsylvania where I was actually the talk of the town when I went home with a white friend of mines. I had little girls come to see what a Black person looked like in person, that really surprised me and in that same town I was called a nigger.

So what civil rights war is being won when something like that still happens in these days, does it matter if gains have been made if people still see the color of skin and not the contents of character? Why does civil rights have to be a war, why should it have to be called a war? We can all talk about numbers and percentages and analyze this and that but what does all of that mean when there are people who are born and bred to hate people of color or religions? I was born in America, I have lived during the times of lynchings and mobs and water hoses and dogs, billy clubs and all the pain and suffering that could be inflicted upon a human being by another human being. I have lived to see the first Black President of the United States, it does not get any better than that one would think.

Civil rights are going to continue to be an issue, an undercover war for centuries to come, it is like that and that is just the way it is. Unless a miracle happens to change the way that people treat each other and the way that children are raised what hope can there be the for civil rights of all races. We can all continue to strive and grow and pray for better tomorrows.
