What are the most profitable Google adsense keywords?

When examining the most profitable google adsense keywords, the keyword to remember is profitable, not necessarily the most expensive. Adsense keywords, like many other things in life, can at times carry quite a price tag, but not really provide a very good return. In order to figure out what keywords are actually going to provide the most bang for your buck when using adsense keywords to generate income, it is important to not only look at what keywords pay out the best per click rate, but what keywords also give you the most clicks per day.

Take for instance the keyword phrase "selling structured settlements" which carries a per click rate of $64.81. That sounds amazing and gives you the impression that with a few clicks a day you are ready to quit your day job and start booking a trip to Cabo San Lucas while still putting enough aside for the kids college fund. The reality however is that it only averages 0.1 click per day. In effect it would take ten days to reach that $64.81 marker, or $2,365. 57 per year. A couple thousand dollars is nothing to sneeze at, but that also depends on the huge assumption that you actually average that click rate year round which is no guarantee. In fact the odds are pretty lousy and you may end up barely making a couple hundred dollars if you are very lucky.

On the other hand there are plenty of strong keywords with a much lower per click rate that get hit time and time again. This helps demonstrate that the truly profitable keywords are not necessarily the most expensive. Take for instance the keyword "insurance" which carries a cost per click of $17.41 which is almost 75% less than "selling structured settlements." While it pays far less it also does a little under 49,900 clicks per day. What are the odds you will get a piece of that pie compared to the pie that doles out 0.1 clicks per day? Logic says that your odds are much better and if you were to get just one click every ten days you would then earn $635.47. Therefore the profitability of the lesser priced keyword carries far more potential through sheer bulk alone.

With those examples given, it is essential that it be understood that just because a rate is cited it does not mean that rate remains frozen. The rates for keywords can and do change, and the click ratios do not mean that you personally will see that many clicks, but rather that the rate of clicks per day for a given keyword system wide hover around the given numbers.
