Humor: Shopping at the grocery store

Grocery shopping I think is one of the hardest and most annoying things. Every time I go I feel like I spend a ton of money and still don't have anything to eat. The littlest things are so expensive. You can buy everything cheap and think you are doing a great job, but damn that stuff adds up. Another thing all the good food of course is the most in price. Eating healthy is impossible if you don't want to go broke. Fresh veggies, and fruit .wow! Seafood is my favorite and not even an opinions, just special occasions.

I live with roommates, however we all go grocery shopping for ourselves, which makes it that much harder for one to shop. There is only so much you can make for one person. I do not want to make a big meal just for me. I also don't have time to make a dinner. So when I do go grocery shopping, I buy cereal, turkey burgers, and tuna. I eat that for 2 weeks, it gets very old after a while. Drinks are a problem as while especially since I am not big on drinking water. However, buying drinks is pricey as well, like tea and Gatorade, another new one is Vitamin Water.

But if I don't go grocery shopping , then I eat out, or I don't eat till dinner and by that time I starving and I could get the whole kitchen. I used to love to eat out, now I would move home with my parents if that meant I could eat a home cooked meal every night. When I eat out there are a few restaurants to choose from because I usually need something quick and cheap. It is also hard to eat healthy when you eat out. When you eat out I think it feels like you are spending so much money, which I assume I am, however when I go grocery shopping I do not think it saves that much because to make anything that taste good you need all the ingredients. Maybe if I was more consistent with grocery shopping I would get more out of it, but I think it will be easier when I have someone to share it with.

I think I need to adopt coupons, people I have talked to have saved so much, however again I think its something you need to do every Sunday morning, clip coupons. That way you can get a variety. I know a couple of women who let their friends look at theirs to see if they can use the ones they don't want.

Another problem is finding the right grocery store to shop at. I like Walmart because it fits a college students budget, however they are no where close to my home. Giant Eagle is nice because they are clean and they usually have everything I need. I am not a big fan of Kroger I usually never shop there. One day I would like to shop at whole foods, but they are expensive.
