Reality Television is becoming the new T.V for the millennium. There are different shows for different situations. Some are marriages and some are dating reality shows. There are even shows displaying how messed up people's lives are.
I am a fan of a lot of reality shows just simply because I like to see how certain individuals view themselves and the world around them. I enjoy seeing how people perceive things and what their beliefs are. It is amazing to see how different people react to certain things. I would like to base a reality show on people from different walks of life interacting together and see how they react to different situations, beliefs and challenges.
It is sad to think though that some reality shows are where a lot of marriages end. The media puts too much stress on their situations and start vicious untrue rumors. I really dislike the fact that my favorite reality show is now becoming an end to a nine year marriage with children involved. I'm sure they were under the impression when they started the show that it wouldn't become a problem. Their show was on TLC. I mean come on, that is an educational channel. They were just doing what they thought would allow their children to experience all the things in life that without the show might not have been possible. I watched a rerun this weekend of all the shows and it was sad that less than a year ago they renewed their wedding vows in front of the children to show their marriage would last, only to find it falter in that same year. I guess with popularity, there comes consequences.
I think all the hype based on the dating reality shows has to just simply be publicity. If the stars on those shows actually think their relationships will last than good luck to them. Okay, imagine you go on a show to win over someone's heart along with fifteen to twenty other men or women and sometimes both. If everything goes as planned and you were sneaky enough they pick you. How do you honestly think that could last, considering up until the very last minute the person you were fighting for made out with and kissed every single person you competed with and possibly slept with? Already you have a trust issue. If life was that easy everybody would invite a bunch of people in there house and make out with them until they narrowed down there choice.
My biggest pet peeve about reality shows are the ones on the music channels. You know the ones. I'm not naming any names. They have a lot of drinking and sex. What
