Are there exercises to gain height?

There is an age to grow and then to stop. Growth hormones are released by the pituitary gland that is found at the base of your brain. This little gland releases growth hormones, that help in the actual growth and hence your height. The growth hormones are on task until a person hits puberty or there abouts. In about 98% of the population, rapid growth that is seen during puberty, ceases after a you touch 17 or 18 years of age, some people though do tend to grow a little more into their 20's. The skeletal system forms the frame work for the human body. Growth, is in terms of skeletal growth and once the natural process stops there is no natural method by which you can increase your height through exercises or medicines. The skeletal system is built to grow upto a certain point, a couple of exercise at the pre-puberty stage might help you grow an other inch or two.

If you have seen many advertisements that claim to help you increase your height. These are just some more gimmicks to make you throw away your money at something that does not work. If you are short and want to gain a few inches, then you are probably running around searching for that miracle growth formula which frankly does not exist. There is no such thing as a miracle grow for human beings!

A person's height is genetic trait and there is no pill or exercise that can change this. Other than being satisfied with what you have I guess there is no alternative. There maybe one way in which you can appear to be taller. Getting outfits that make you look taller, changing your posture or the way you walk without slouching and or by wearing different types of shoes and or clothes that may make you seem leaner and so taller are some of the ways that you can mask your height, but these are temporary fixes. Try and concentrate on improving your personality, knowledge and self worth......Remember some of the greatest people on this earth were short Napoleon Bonaparte, Mahatma Gandhi, Beethoven, Pablo Picasso and the list goes on, but they left their mark inspite of that. Hold yourself tall and erect, head held high.

Am short and when I asked my doctor grandfather how I can add a few inches to my height (BTW he was short too!), he said " What is it that you can achieve by being taller that you cannot when you are short? " Of course he was talking about success in life while i was silently thinking "the top shelf of any cabinet"!
