There is inside your skull a multitude of components. The fastest way to heal a bruise is to cooperate with your regeneration system. I'm a carpenter I hit my fingers with a big hammer now and then. Instead of seven to ten days of swelling and tenderness I can reduce/eliminate all swelling over night and after three days the finger is normal. I have had lots of practice.
How do you do this?
Step one activate the relaxation response. Activation is achieved by taking a deep breath and relaxing completely on the exhale. It will take some practice but that's all there it to it slow deep breaths in and relax everything on the exhale.
Since you have a fresh injury it will be sending a signal to your brain. This signal is holographic in nature, it contains more information than location and ouch. Can you get by the ouch?
Step two take another deep breath, on the exhale ride that huge wave of discomfort and turn off the swelling response. This is done automatically as soon as you relax the surrounding tissue. Why? Because swelling is the body's way of protecting the damaged area. If you consciously relax the subconscious knows your not going apply more irritation to the area. Relaxing also fully opens all the pipes therefore speeding drainage of ruptured tissues. If you start five seconds after impact it is possible to minimize swelling to point that the finger nail is not lost.
