The World Through Your Eyes
Our world, our reality is our own making. No one can visualize the kind of world that we live in except ourselves. We build the foundation of our environment through our mind. We possess the creative force to construct or destruct our world. Our attitudes and behaviors shape the results that we will experience in our lifetime.
One of the most common expression of all times, "is the glass half empty or half full" is a perfect illustration which proves that people have different point of views regarding one particular situation. A person may perceive that a specific situation will pose as a problem whereas another individual recognizes it as an opportunity. Each individual's perception simply dictates and project his or her own reality.
Our mind is like a camera, and the photographs are pictures of our lives. An artist views his world through his lens. His camera is merely a tool to capture the image that he imagined in his mind. His resulting pictures are simply his interpretation of the subject matter. When two photographers stand on the same hill and attempts to take a photo of the majestic mountain standing still, one would assume that the outcomes would be the same. It is different. Their points of views are different. Their photos may look very similar, but they are distinct. Different elements of composition are present in each of their pictures which makes it an artist's original work of art.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is indeed. A garden snail, after eating its favorite plants, slowly crawls in the pavement one morning is one spectacular sight to witness. To watch the journey of another living creature is such an awesome experience. A flock of birds happily chirping, and flies from one tree to the next is so refreshing. As we close our eyes, and focus on listening to their music, it soothes the core of our soul.
The media carries mostly negative news. As we watch the news each day, and listen to the radio broadcast while we drive in to our destination each day, the depressing news regarding recession is all over the place. Fortune 500 companies are laying off thousands of employees thus increasing the percent of unemployed in the nation, and perhaps even the world. The foreclosure rate keeps going up. More and more people are in debt, and most people do not have a strategy in place how to cope with the situation. When an individual internalizes all these bad news, can you perceive the kind of world he or she is living in?
One world, different realities. We define our world in which we exist. How do you see your world?
