First you need to decide on what kind of gift you are searching for that hard to buy for man on your list. After you have an idea of the sort of gift you are after you can start to sort out which department stores will carry that perfect gift.

You probably think of the traditional department stores like JC Penny's, Kohl's, Dillard's and even Sears. They all carry great specialized departments that offer fantastic gift sets for men like cologne sets, tools, mens slippers, winter apparel and electronics. Don't overlook some old trusted friends of variety gifts for men though like and CVS Pharmacies. They offer great savings and carry name brands of top designer brands of cologne for men like Antonio Bandera's and Tim McGraw in gift sets or sizes that you may not find anywhere else for the same price.

Another great department store that offers wide variety of gifts for men would be the Richmond Gordman stores that dot many popular malls all across the United States. Gifts for men do not have to only include cologne but can also include items like dress shirts with a great tie and matching set of cuff links, stylish jewelry, electronics and never forget small tools. Another item most men love and can never have to many of is the classic cotton tshirt for comfort and style.

A store many times over looked when shopping for a gift for a man is your local Harley Davidson shop because it is not your traditional department store. Nearly every large city has one and even if the man you are shopping for doesn't own a motorcycle you can find wonderful gifts there for men. Even the traditional game of Monopoly has jumped aboard the Harley Davidson train with a version of Monopoly now using a motorcycle theme. Lets not forget the fashionable bar glassware in of course a Harley Davidson theme that is also sold through the store chain along with billfolds, wallets, jewelry, sunglasses and of course that all cotton comfy tshirt.

Other great department stores not to overlook for a wide variety of gifts for men are your local Farm and Fleet stores and Pamida's or even the lumber giants like Menard's. At these stores you'll find great gift buys on outdoor cooking, camping and fishing gear for the outdoors men. Who says that a gift for a man has to be a tie, socks or another bottle of cologne?
