Well it may come as a surprise , but social interaction is mostly responsible for the high numbers of single moms.
I am 52 years , mother of 2 grown children. I have been active in the work force since the age of 15 when l completed school.
I grew up in a the old school "Hard working Aussie family"" . Old school, mother stayed home and father worked to support his family.
My father a returned POW, my mother the lady of the house. Lived within the means. In the early days of there life together there was not even such a thing as a washing machine The cooper was use for all the washing of clothes . And a Fridge was only a meat safe. Most women in the home did not have there own cars. They would shop with the use of public transport or walking .
No TV , they did use to talk to each other and sit and listen to the radio.
So when l got married , at an early age of 19 years , l continued to work as l was brought up believing that myself as an adult , had to stand up and be responsible for the decision l made . No matter what it was , So having children was something that l had to be able to provide for , not just love but financial as well.
It would be me working to provide and put food on the table and a roof over their head. . These standards seem to have been buried .
We have young girls being told . Yes, have a baby , the tax payers will cover all your bills . They will provide housing and also the tax payer will also give you a bonus for having babies , even if it is to multipliable fathers.
You do not have to work and pay your far share of taxes, no you do not have to do anything other than continue to explore social interaction.
Do you think that we should be more concerned about morals , standards , and responsibility . The amount of money we would save for our country . l am sure it would help our economy . It would make our country strong.
Australia was always the lucky country, but now it seem to be a country that has no respect from its people . And the government are letting this be an ongoing state of affairs.
Can l leave you with this current facts. My daughter who is now 19 has left school and out of all the girls in her last year at school. Well guess what she is the only one who is working and does not fall into the single moms group.
How can we as a country regain our young , and teach them again to be proud to be Australian and support our great country. Work hard and be honest . I do see social interaction as a reward for working hard .
We have to stop access to all the ways out our young have to avoid working and earning there keep.
