Poetry: Today

by Kloulessblond

Created on: May 25, 2009

Just another weekend

Filled with ordinary tasks

No calls from my friend

I'll just finish them

At last

Lately thoughts just scatter

Living in the past

But yesterday can't matter

When today flies by

So fast

Laundry dusting dishes

Call out to be done

Am I too filled with wishes

Regrets I am

No fun

But tommorow's almost here

So I get up with a sigh

Today is all I fear

Can't help but

Wonder why

Life has turned so mindless

Dull and full of pain

All of this is hopeless

If you're never

Here again

Maybe someone will be

So I cannot give up

Time to take care of me

Go wash this

Coffee cup

Every single hour

Crawls by oh so slow

All I'm thinking of is you

And why

You had to go

Today is finally gone

Time to rest my head

You are still the one

Thing in it

As I go to bed

Maybe by tomorrow

Home will feel that way

Even if it doesn't

I made it through

Today
