Music is an art. Music is a passion. Music is a romance. Music is something that everyone loves, no matter who you are. You could be the happiest person alive or the saddest; music has a place in everyone's life. Even to a deaf person, music has an impact on their lives; they can feel the vibrations of the music and that is enough for them to enjoy music. Beethoven was deaf and he was one of the world's most talented composers. Moonlight Sonata is a beautiful piano piece that a deaf man wrote using only the vibrations he felt from his piano to ensure the piece sounded brilliant.
Anyone can learn music. You can look down at a sheet of music and understand what time signature you're in, what key you're in, what note you're starting on, what kind of chords they are, what cadences you are ending on and how fast or slow you should go. This anyone can learn just by taking a few music theory classes. However if you want more than just theory; if you want to be able to perform and to seduce everyone with your music, then you need more than just the will to learn. You need to have a talent.
When you look at a sport's player, you see a few things. You see many years of practice, you see many years of proper training, you see a will to succeed, but above all, you see the correct body. You will never see a 150 pound man playing a lineman in football. He'll get destroyed. The same goes for a musician. You need to have the correct build. If your diaphragm is not proper, if you have a problem with the muscle or you can't breathe well, then you will have a problem holding notes out. If your larynx (vocal chords) is not well developed, you will not sound as rich and beautiful and a vibrato (The vibration of the voice) will not occur unless you force it.
However that is if you wish to become a singer. If you wish to become an instrumentalist, you need to have a lot of motivation and a lot of will. Some people are born with a talent for music; anyone can pick up an instrument and start to learn. Some people get it easier, but that does not mean you cannot learn. Music is a passion and an art that everyone should be introduced to. I am a singer so for me, music has been a way of life and a way for me to express myself in all my passions, emotions and feelings. It is my way to escape the world and become one with my audience and one with my own self.
