I stand like a tree with upturned leaves
Awaiting a gentle rain
My parched heart needs the moisture
It's dried from all the pain
When you went away, the sun burned out
Left we frozen here in time
But I didn't give up and I didn't give in
There was one mountain left to climb
When I reached the peak, looked toward the sky
facing all my fears
The heavens parted, the rain poured down
Washed away my tears
I stood there in the pouring rain
Soaking up every drop
Then i felt it, my heart was healing
I had finally reached the top
Sometimes it feels like your heart is shattered
And you'll never love again
All you really need to do
Is stand out in the rain

Gently cascading

Misery's Flood
It came, after hours of oppression.
In torrents, in floods, drenching, beating down,
The earth was swallowed
