The Best Things in Life are the Deadliest
The best things in life are always the deadliest.
When the fragile stitches that hold us together
Give way to love and heartbreak sets in
We disassemble like crumbling towers.
Ashes that torment the weakened spirits
Are buried in a cemetery
Or they are above your fireplace
To symbolize life's pieces.
The puzzle is never the same again
Until you create new elements
Which allow you to adapt
And enjoy the best things in life again.
You soon redefine the best things in life
The summer sky is bright again.
A smile sent your way captures you
For a moment in time you are happy.
