Finding your purpose in life
Article Toolssong had these words in it:
I would that others might see
The marks of Jesus in me,
For they will not believe,
If they cannot perceive,
The marks of Jesus in Me.
The first point of my mission is Living. I will live for the Lord.
2. Loving: I seek to love the Lord each and ever day and serve Him with all my heart. Matthew 22:37 -40 says Jesus said to him You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Each day of my life I seek to grow in my love relationship with the Lord. I want to be in a close walk with Him. Because of that my love for others grows stronger. Love and compassion need to be hallmarks of my life. As I connect heart to heart with Jesus Christ I find my compassion and mercy for others grows and I reach out to others and try to draw them into a relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
3. Leading: The third leg of my life mission is leading. I attempt to be a Shepherd leader. I try and point others along the God way. I try and encourage others and point the way to the Lord. I did it for 38 years in the Pastorate; I praise God for the many opportunities I had to lead others. Now after retiring from full time ministry I still find myself having great enriching opportunities to lead others whether through Youth Ministry or Bible Studies and small Groups and in my secular job at the local Detox Center. Each and every day the Lord gives me the joy of being a leader. I praise the Lord for the opportunities He gives me.
My Life Mission is Living! Loving1 Leading! May the Lord continue to bless me with great opportunities as I practice my Mission in my world today.
