Online dating is a completely different world. Many people with profiles could feel alienated the first three months of usage. Yes it may be a great alternative for the shy and the reticent, but the downside of it all is that you don't get to see the person you're sending a message to so you'll never know if someone else is just posing as the person.
Here's some bad news for all of you guys: The response rate from females are approximately 15% meaning you can sometimes send even a hundred messages packed with 'Hey's' and 'whats ups' and it doesn't do the trick at all, because in the end you may get zero replies. Of course, we men are always about scoring no matter what the method or means is. But you must also keep in mind women think differently. It's all about feeling attracted and emotionally connected with the person they hook up with. They' don't write "Oh of course I'd love to get together wanna sip some coffee at Starbucks?" after the first or even the tenth message a guy sends them.
In order for you to be successful in the cyber dating world patience must be one of your virtues. Because it takes time to build relationships online. You want to reassure yourself constantly that the person you are chatting with is a real person and not some impostor trying to pose as chester molester only to get to you. In some instances, the person that you thought you were falling for usually happened to be some type of murderer or sociopath. So this is why it is best that you take things at a steady pace and not rush things.
Now that you've accepted the time-frame of getting to know someone online, you are ready to create your profile, upload your picture, and HAVE FUN!, upload a recent picture of yourself and make sure you say CHEESE in an eloquent manner so your camera can take note of that, don't forget to wash your face and dress nicely before posing for the camera. And when developing your profile try and throw out some unique characteristics about you, such as "I like sipping hot cocoa on a zero degree winter day", or "I like to eat bonbons near the fireplace", you know say some things out of the ordinary because chances are that your special someone may stumble onto your profile and dig it! Try to expand your About Me section as much as possible because browsers will want to know who you are before contacting you or even winking at you.
BLANK profiles and no pictures never get responses so if you doubt yourself that much my suggestion would be to take a pass on online dating and find another avenue in fetching a girl.
Although people have had success with online dating, it's not the most popular way of looking for a date. Your profile in a dating website is like your dating resume where you are trying to sell yourself to someone else. Now if you approach it with this mindset you are bound to experience greater difficulty in finding somebody. Instead just take it with a grain of salt, look around, snoop around, do whatever, because what you see in others profiles is what you often get many times! Dating and relationships should come natural over time they don't just happen overnight. The preferable method is to meet people through social circles but if some of you don't have much of a social circle never fear because there are always alternative solutions. Perhaps you might want to join a local organization based on personal interest or you know walk up to that random person that you've set your sights on all evening at a concert.
