I met Elizabeth when I was ten, beautiful red curls wearing a bright orange dress. I knew that it would not take Jonathan long to steal her away from me. That was how Jonnie was. I would do something and Jonnie would do it better, I would find something and Jonnie would find one bigger, I would make a friend and Jonnie would make even better friends with them. I always despised Jonnie for acting the way he does. Even though we are identical there is something that Jonnie has that I don't.
I don't know what makes Jonnie so special but it does. The women are crazy over him and he's as sharp as a tack, though you wouldn't tell cause he doesn't use it. Poor Elizabeth....she had no idea what she was in for when she got involved with jonnie.....I don't think anyone did. Jonnie was wild. He stayed out late at night playing cards and drinking with the guys and he would visit the women on the street corners.

Jonnie swore that everything was fine and continued going to the bar and staying out late. Elizabeth just stayed home and sort of sulked about the house. She never talked and only answered with one or two words if you asked her a question. One day I saw her through the window hanging laundry and she was just standing there holding her stomach and staring at the sheets as if she had forgotten what to do with them.
I couldn't take it anymore. I was in love with her and couldn't stand to see her that way. I ran outside grabbed her up and shook her hard. I shouted at her "What did he do?" But she just stared at me with a blank face. After that, I was intent on getting Jonnie. He had done something horrible to her and I was gonna make him pay for it. He never thought about anyone but
